President and Chief Executive Officer
Concurrently serves as CEO of PHINMA Microtel Hotels Inc. and PHINMA Hospitality Management Co. He is a Director of PHINMA Inc., PHINMA Property Holdings Corporation, Philcement Corp., and other subsidiary companies of the PHINMA Group. He also sits on the Board of Directors of Philippine Hotel Owners Association.
He has 40 years of extensive domestic and international management experience in the hospitality industry. Prior to taking his MBA at Arthur D. Little School of Management (now Hult International Business School) in Cambridge, Massachusetts, he was The Manila Hotel’s General Manager/COO for three (3) years. His hotel career started with Hotel Lausanne Palace (Switzerland), then Peninsula Manila and thereafter Imperial Hotel in Tokyo. He earned his Diploma in Hotel & Restaurant Management in Hotelconsult Schulhotels (now César Ritz Colleges) Switzerland and is an alumnus of Cornell University’s General Managers Program.
Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Cid brings more than 30 years of experience in hotel operations and management. His hospitality career includes leadership roles with InterContinental Manila, and several Microtel properties across the Philippines (Batangas, Boracay, Baguio, Tarlac, and Cabanatuan). Concurrently, he serves as General Manager of Microtel by Wyndham Mall of Asia. He holds a Master of Management degree from the Asian Institute of Management and a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel and Restaurant Administration from the University of the Philippines.
